Dext has definitely made sending receipts and invoices to my accountant a lot less annoying. I just upload things as I get them, and they can grab what they need without chasing me every week. That said, there are still the odd receipts I have to go back and fix, which is frustrating enough that I’d expect a bit of an apology when it happens. Overall though, it saves both of us time and it’s simple enough to use.

First impression? Dext is straightforward and saves me from a lot of annoying admin. Uploading receipts is quick, I don’t have to overthink anything, and it just gets the job done. So far, I’m happy with it

Dext isn’t exactly the cheapest thing on my monthly stack, but weirdly I don’t think about the price that much anymore. I think it’s because the annoying bits it takes off my plate, like receipts and supplier invoices, are the kind of tasks that feel small until you’ve lost half an afternoon to them.

I had a few issues with receipts not loading properly, so I got in touch with Dext support. To be fair, they replied faster than I expected, and the responses were actually useful rather than the usual copy-paste nonsense. That said, one follow-up took longer than it should have, and I did have to explain the same issue twice, which was a bit annoying. Still, they were polite and did get it sorted in the end, so I’d give them 4 stars.

I keep running into issues when my receipts are even a little blurry. The app reads them wrong often, so I end up having to go back and fix the details myself lol. It’s not a huge deal, but it definitely gets annoying after a while.

I’ve had a mixed experience using Dext for supplier and vendor management. Uploading bills is easy enough, and that part does what I expected, but keeping the supplier records tidy has been more of a pain than I thought it would be.
Duplicates seem to pop up a lot, and merging vendors isn’t always as obvious as it should be. Sometimes the supplier names don’t match properly either, so I still end up double checking a bunch of things before syncing. Not saying it’s a scam, but for what it costs, I expected it to save me more manual cleanup.

Support was fine when I reached out, just not especially quick, and the answers felt basic. Overall, it works, but it’s not as smooth or hands-off as we were hoping
